Joywax: What's the lowdown?

Recommended Posts

peace ya'll--

i'm looking to make a change from 415 and was considering the joywax from nature's garden. i did a search and on some old threads there were some people were complaining that the batches were inconsistant and there was cracking in the wax and other problems. well, has it gotten better for you? does the scent throw better than plain 'ole soy wax? i haven't used anything other than soy and parrifin, and wanted a change. thanks!

No changes noted here. I have put up with the cracking and frosting though, because I love the wax.....but honestly I am getting tired of taking precious production time fixing cracked, frosted candles!!! :cry2: I've used it since it came out and there is no way you can tell me that wax hasn't changed!!! I haven't changed my pouring temps or anything and I never had candles that looked like this before. It really chaps my arse that they couldn't just leave well enough alone. JMO.

I know what you mean girl!

Irks me that they no longer carry MP145!:angry2:

I used that alot and now it's gone

:cry2:

Am now testing WSP's IGI 4625 and see if it comes in close comparison

NG said that they are testing new waxes...

But agree with you when you said about leaving well enough alone.

For all my Pillars and votives I love IGI-4625. I have been using this wax for 3 years. For my container candles I prefer Golden Brands 444. :D
