Baddog74
Hey everyone, I have been all over this site for a few weeks, and love ever bit of it. And reading all the threads have all been a great help. Needless to say I'm Hooked!!!!! But, one thing that i'm not sure of is shaping pillars? I see a lot of them rounded or even an angle cut around the top. Is this done with heated knife or ...... Any and all help thanks. And thank to everyone for all the HelpJerry AKABaddog
judyvega
I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but you know that the mold the wax is poured in is the shape the pillar will come out in, right? Is this what you're asking? Or something different?
blacktortoise
Are you talking about ones with dome tops and beveled edges? You can get a mold that does that. I have a polycarbonate mold that makes a domed to with edges.

blacktortoise
I think what you talking about is just done by buying the right mold. Let me know if you can find a pic.

Scented
Sure you aren't talking about pre-shaped molds?

Scented
Dang could I be more confusing lol. The molds already out there, like the tins in different shapes and the plastics.
starlessjade
The bottom of your mold actually makes the top of your candle, so if the bottom of a mold is shaped a certain way ("convave top" molds are common, like at Peak http://www.peakcandle.com/category/Candle-Molds/Seamless-Aluminum-Molds.aspx) then your candle will come out with the top shaped nicely.
