PurpleHippie
Hi, I am new here! I have been lurking for a very long time and learning alot from previous post using the search feature but this is my first post. I am trying to decided if I would like to try J223 or J50. I would like to heare from those that have used both and if you would share your reasons for picking one over the other? Thanks in advance for the help. Fern
I have used both. I used J223 for a couple of years and then switched to J50 simply because I could buy two of the types of wax I use from the same supplier, so it saved me money on shipping. The difference between the two? I'd have to say there really isn't much. They both throw great, the J50 seems to be a tad firmer than the J223. To tell you the truth, there really isn't much of a difference between the two, and if there is, it's so unremarkable that I didn't notice. Either one would be a good choice. PurpleHippie
Thanks for your help. I think I can get both from a supplier near by. If one isn't very different from the other, especially in scent throw I may just try the J223 since it is softer. What type of wicks do/did you prefer with these two waxes? mustang67
I have used both waxes. I Ended up with J50 because it rarely has wet spots. I do like them both though. I use zinc wicks. If available buy a slab of each and test to see which you prefer.

MaryinCary
I use the j50 with LX wicks also. I tried zinc but the LX work best IMO.
