littysmom
I have only made the CP soap, and i love the ability to be creative with swirling. I read in one of the posts that it can be done with HP soap. I would like to try making a batch. Before i get started tho, I want to have all my ducks in a row. So... can any of you give me any pointers as to how to put swirls in the soap.. I hear that the consistancy is going to be quite thick. Thank for the help! LovelyLathers
I do it in the pot it is more of a marble look then a swirl look. I find it too hard and thick to do it any other way.

Crafty1_AJ
I take a small portion out just before molding (after adding scent), color that, then stir it back into the main portion. You want to stir enough that it's spread throughout the soap, yet not so much that you don't leave an uncolored portion. Work quickly because HP thickens and becomes harder to work with as it cools, and it cools pretty quickly after you remove from the heat! I use 1 TBL sugar ppo to help with fluidity at molding time.hth
