elitenaildesign
Ok, I officially ordered some GM powder form the co-op. So will I be able to say that my soap is goatmilk soap if it is added? I know that sounds stupid, but I would think of it as gm soap if it were added in the beginning as a liquid and not during trace. Am I making things more difficult thatn need be? Probably:p
Meridith
You could reconstitute it down and soap it as a liquid (frozen, or not frozen)or add it as powder at light trace making sure to get in good and blended in with no clumps.ETA - yes you can say that since you have goats milk in it. jbren
If you use goatmilk as 100% of your liquid...it's Goatmilk Soap. If not, it's just soap with 'added goatmilk'. Don't mislead your customers by making false claims. Just adding a bit of goatmilk to your soap doesn't make it Goatmilk Soap.
Rebecca_IA
Powder, I add to my oils before I add the lye solution.Canned milk, I use half water to mix my lye in and then add the can of goat's milk to the soap at very thin trace (and warm the milk up too). This would be 100% goatsmilk soap either way if you add enough.
jbren
I agree, Rebecca! That WOULD be 100% whether it's canned or reconstituted powder, as long as the proportions are calculated properly.I have seen some people mix a bit of powder or canned with other 'stuff' and call it goatsmilk soap, when in fact, it really isn't.
