ubure
I need to make pillars for weddings and have a question: the wedding planner wants to have one kind of pillar (unscented) instead of place cards (with the name of the guest on it) and another kind of pillar (scented) as favors, also with some text on it. Is it better to embed the text on paper etc. or what else can you recommend? Thanks for your help!
flutterbye
The easiest thing is to do the rub on decals or water decals. You can buy the paper and print whatever you want on them yourself. It's way easier and quicker than embedding a paper text in the candle. I did a similar thing for favors at my friends wedding.
sugarysweet95
Never tried them (they're in my cupboard waiting to be used!), but i know you can get pens that write on candles. That might be even easier and you put what ever you want on!Not sure where you can get them in the US but you can get some in the UK at http://www.fullmoons-cauldron.co.uk/candledecorating.htmHope that helps
ubure
Thanks for these recs!flutterbye,I've thought about the decals, but does it look professional?sugaryweet,I'm in Germany, not in the US and we sure have these pens, but the candles have to look perfect (the planner takes them to tradeshows, to sales talks etc.) and I don't have too much confidence in my abilities as a painter:embarasse
sugarysweet95
Lol, yeah i have that problem too, so that's why i've not yet risked trying the pens on the candles!!!
