successfulscents
has anyone ran across any good soothing aftershave recipes...besides the run of the mill bay rum?
guppygirl
LOL about the bay rum as that's the only fragrance my hubby will use anymore! A really easy recipe that hubby swears by: equal parts aloe vera gel (the kind you get in the store for after sun care is fine) and witch hazel USP (make sure it's USP/with alcohol as it acts as an astringent and preservative.)You can play around with the ratio until you find the consistency that you like. Add any skin safe FO until it smells good to you!

hfab
I found this recipe a while back while searching for a soothing after shave product and my husband really likes it.http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4258&page=2&highlight=shave+allantoinIt's post #14 by SheilaW....the only thing I changed was I used Aloe Vera Gel instead of the juice since it wasn't thick enough (I might have done something wrong!) but it's still a nice, light gel consistency and not too "lotiony" for a macho man
