Fragrant Rose
Hello ---I am new to the board.Question. Is there anyone using zinc wicks in their soy type containers? Currently, I am using a parrafin type wax but is contemplating using a 50/50 wax or 100% soy. Some manufacturer's site state that zinc wicks are not good for veggie waxes and some say it is okay. Why would zinc not be good for veggie waxes? Any feedback would be great appreciated. Thanks!

Scent Cellar
Zinc wicks are the coolest burning wicks. Soy normally need a little bit more "fire power" for a good melt pool such as a paper or cotton wick.

TxSioux
I've used zinc & soy for almost 5 yrs. I've tried many other wicks, but just like the rigid zinc best. Seems like wicks give everyone the most headaches, so I certainly wouldn't say they're any more of a challenge than any other kind. Just boils down to finding what you like best & testing till you get it right.Susan.
