malaki
ok, i wanted to give this wax a try minus all the negative thing i read about weak throw. i wanted to try it because of the no frosting issues. i love soy but i cant stand frost . so i made a candle tonight with this wax i used my 8oz square mason and my evo burgandy dye and home sweet home fo from ng . i have no complaints yet about the throw i can smell it so that a good start. BUT that damn thing frosted on me right at the top of the bend in the jar same place i had my other frosting issues with c-3. so i wondering i have some soy additive can i use that with this wax do you think it would help the frosting. i also poured at 130.HELP PLEASE. lsbennis
From what I understand CB Advanced is not suppose to require any additives I think it is already in there. I was told by one of the suppliers that adding 1/2 teaspoon of UV inhibitor per pound will help with frosting, might be worth a try. HTH :smiley2:
Wildheart75
I have been using that wax and I get frost when I pour cooler than normal. I normally pour at 165-170.

darci
I'm with Wildheart - I pour much hotter than I used to now that I use CB Adv. I don't use additives and the only time I've had frosting issues were with 3 different colors - red, green, brown. I use liquid dyes, and any more than 8 drops per pound will cause frosting for me; sometimes less with those particular colors.

StephD
I'm getting frosting on 5oz apothecary jars, mostly with the reds and greens. I have poured cinnamon I don't know how many times and got a really pretty color and it frosted. At first I poured cool, then poured hot and pouring hot doesn't seem to frost near as much. I poured some almond cherry tonight and the pink frosted. I've poured a few of those and had not had the pink frost. Figures! lolStephanie
