Testing Wicks

Recommended Posts

I have some fo/wax combos that I made up last nite that I need to test the wick. I usually wait at least 24 hours before I test a wick. Has any one tested their wicks in soy in less time than that. I made these about 14 hrs ago. Do you think I could give it a go and get an accurate result:undecided

Thanks for any input. Kathy

As far as I can tell, once the candle has completely cooled and solidified, you can wick test. You might not get an accurate assessment of cold or hot throw, but you can certainly assess the wick performance. Of course, I'm not a total expert here. Maybe Top can chime in here if he knows something I don't (which is most of the time :cool2: ).
