Crafty1
i was lurking on the dish's archives and found that baby food has been used in soaps. does anyone know the benefits of using baby food in soaps? everything that was used, from what i can tell, were fruits and vegetables. RobinInOR
I've used apples and carrots. I think it's mostly label appeal, but the sugars do help with lather.
Crafty1
oh! interesting.let me ask this, how much is used per ounce? does it discolor the soap any?
RobinInOR
I've used them at something less than an ounce ppo. I probably start out with just a tablespoon ppo just to see how it works. Apples will turn tan, carrots I'm not sure - I used them with carrot juice so my bar was yellow/orange anyway. Most fruits will turn tan in a basic solution.
