becky0404
Do wickless candles (like the ones done in the tins) loose their scent over time?I've never made or tried any:embarasse
silverm00n
It acts like a tart, so I'd say yes.
becky0404
Ok, so for those of you who make and sell them, how do you deal with that when customers ask. I'd really like to start making/selling some but I don't think people would buy them if they loose their scent after a few times warming them. Kymber
Actually the ones I do last for a very long time. I have one on a warmer up in my sons bathroom that has been on the warmer nonstop for 4 months and it still smells up the room. These are wickless done in the 8oz size with 1.5 to 2.0 oz FO per pound of wax. I also use a heavy squatty canning jar for my wickless.......because I have found the lighter weight glass candle jars tend to break easier on a warmer. Now I wouldn't recommend to any of my customers to leave them on the warmer nonstop for 4 months.....
Ahuff
You tell them that like any other candle, the scent will diminish over time. However, you are more than happy to sell them 1/2 oz bottle of refresher oil. Yes, people generally buy the oil - just caution them to use just a drop or two at a time.
