Devil Woman
Hi Everyone,I have had a request for a soap made with honey does anyone have a recipe that they wouldn't mind sharing with me? If not could you point me in the direction of a site that has a recipe for a CP soap made with honey?TIA,Devil Woman
Scent Cellar
Just add a bit of honey to your regular CP recipe and it should work. Or you could use the new honey f/o that Peaks now carries too. Be careful not to add to much honey as it will heat up your batch.
Guest EMercier
I wanted to try this, but what is a bit of honey? I don't want to but too much and it will ruin my batch. I'm glad this was posted. I was just going to try to put some in and see what happens. Also, am I putting it in @ trace?
Scent Cellar
I melt mine with my oils and add just one tablespoon for a 2 1/2 lb batch of soap. If you add to traced soap just warm the honey up a bit in the microwave. Don't add to much honey as it can make the soap sticky.
SoapLady
I tend to mix my honey with just a touch of water to help thin it and microwave it for a couple of seconds before adding to any CP recipe. I add it at trace but it could probably be added earlier if you want. Just make sure any crystallized honey has completely dissolved so you don't have weird honey speckles in the soap. I usually add just shy of 1 T. ppo.
