Tizimarezie
I ordered "Leather" FO from BCN and I'm planning on using it in a 6oz tin using EZsoy. BCN website description indicates that the flash point of Leather is 130. I heat EZsoy to 175F to add FO. Should I expect a fire????*faint* TIA
Tizimarezie
:rolleyes2 Oh duh! I just now found my answer. Just wasn't looking in the right place. Here's some info for anyone else who is curious: This does not mean that you cannot allow your candle wax to reach a higher temperature than the oil's flashpoint, it only pertains to actually coming into contact with an open flame or spark. It is perfectly safe to allow your wax to heat up to whatever pouring temperature you need even if you are using a fragrance oil with a lower flashpoint.
