Cindy/WI
I found a recipe on here for a lotion bar I would like to try and was wondering if I should use the Refinded & deodorized or Natural & unrefined Ccoca butter for this? TIA Cindy/WI
sudsy
Depends on if you want a chocolate smell or not. If your fragrance will blend with the chocolate smell, use regular, if not use the deoderized.
LovelyLathers
I have some unrefined and love it in my lotion bars. It has to be the best cocoa butter I have ever had. It is great alone but the chocolate scent blends welll with most fo and eos I have used it with. I don't seem to get a strong scent at all when I do. CareBear
Yea, it's all aobut the scent. The unrefined smells quite strongly of chocoloate - in fact if I use a good amount in CP soap the smell is still there! I personally don't want to walk around smelling of chocolate (attracts ants and small children) but like it in lip balms and such. For my lotion bars I usually use deodorized. therusticcottage
Love the unrefined in my lotion bars and add spearmint eo. Smells like an Andes Mint! I think it's a matter of preference and I'd use refined if I didn't want the chocolate scent.
