jldorrington
hi everyone i just started making candles within the last month and i've been trying to come up with something original so that when i decide to start selling i'll have something eye catching.. what do you guys think of taking baby food jars painting the tops so you can't see the manufacturer and cleaning them up real good and making candles in them for like baby shower favors or something... and use scents that are baby food related banana, mango, pear, etc...keep in mind i have a 10 month old and lots of friends with babies so getting my hands on jars is not an issue at all
Guest amynleebishop
That sounds like a great idea!! That would be an ideal way to make use of those old jars. Wish I would have thought of it when my daughter was a baby! Post some pics when your done.
candlebean
I've never done that, but I know a lot of people here have - hopefully someone else will chime in with some other suggestions or tips for you. Congrats on your baby and welcome!
jldorrington
ahh thank you guys... i'm just glad i fianlly found a good forum its very hard to find one where people actually contribute more than once a week.i'm glad people actually think this is a good idea people usually just end up thinking i'm kooky when i have an 'idea'
grammafransfixins
When I first started making candles that was exactly what I did. I loved that I got the jars free from friends with babies. I spray painted the lids black and they were so cute when done.I used the 2 oz and 4 oz sizes Have fun..candle making is only limited to your imagination
