Tracy K
Hi there, hoping someone can answer a question for me. Just started making container candles with pure soy wax. I've burned about 1/2 of a candle I made and the hot throw is excellant and I'm getting a nice even burn pool, but there is some wax hanging up on the inside. Wondered if this is normal with soy. geekrunner
If you have a little wax hanging on the sides of your jar, then your wicking may be just a hair too small. How thick is the hangup? If it's just a very thin scum, and the candle burns well otherwise, it may not be much of a concern. If it is 1/8 to 1/4 inch, you should try wicking up one size.geek
Tracy K
It is pretty thin. I'll try going up one size and see if that helps without getting too hot. Thanks.
