Kymber
Does Soap trace faster if you add your lye/liquid to your oils at a higher temps(both being a higher temp)? Like.....instead of 90-100 you combine at 105-115? Also if you use a water discount does it trace faster? And also if it is warmer when you combine the liq and oils does it tend to gel alot faster also? Ok that was 3 questions instead of a couple...LOL TIA! skg
I mix my lye/water with the oils when they are both around 110 - 115 and usually do not have a problem with fast trace..unless I've added Shea butter. That seems to make it go quick. And I also use a water discount, but havent noticed if it gels faster ( never thought to look).
Carriegsxr6
I work with room temp oils and lye water with a water discount and mine always gets to thick trace within a few min.
