skg Posted August 25, 2006 Share Posted August 25, 2006 I have a drawer I would like to try and use as a slab mold - I'm confused on the height - the measurements are 19.5 W x 12.5 H x 2.5 D, but I would like to have a bar thats only 1" thick. So my question is would I then use the 1" in place of the 2.5 or do I have to use actual dimensions to get how many oils needed. Sorry if confusing - I got myself confused lol. RobinInOR Posted August 26, 2006 Share Posted August 26, 2006 I've cut apart a large cardboard box to make a divider - wrap it in freezer paper. Since it's not all that stable, I prop it up on the side that isn't getting the soap - I use candle mold putty or plumbers putty.My slab gives me 4 x 7 = 28 bars, but I've got a divider I can slide down to do 4 x 2 or 4 x 3 or however big I want to experiment with.
