Saltbox Pantry
I've been reading and researching for foot soak recipes and milk bath recipes. Some ingredients that are listed don't make sense to me why they be mixed in.Silly question but why would I want starch and baking soda in a recipe? I'm just expanding my line from just soaps to bath salts, milk baths and soaks, so any additional information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,SP
CareBear
Well, baking soda when combined with citric fizzes, but even on its own it is very soothing in a foot soak. a little cornstarch gives the water a silky feel - i put it in my bath bombs. pamperme
As much as a pain it is to clean cornstarch out of the tub if you overdo it..I love it in my recipes..it makes the water and your skin soooooo soft.. my testers have commented on that so I would not omit it..everbut to each is own..some dont like the feel or the mess ..you just have to play around and find the combo you and your customers/testers would like.
