charity4candles
Okay..I made two more batches last night and 3 out of 4 candles had a (circle) crack all the way around the wicks again. I don't understand why I'm all of a sudden having this problem. Someone had suggested using a heat gun to zap it and it would correct it. I have tried remelting and it is not helping. To use a heat gun (just got one today), will it mess up the wick when I do it? And how much do I need to melt before it should be okay? Sorry for such a problem with my cracks, but do appreciate the suggestions.Charity
Candle Makin Momma
I don't use the heat gun directly on the wick. I hold it to the side and above the jar a bit so the wax doesn't slosh. I melt it just enough to have the very top layer liquified.
