Sherl
I bought some plastic molds and decided to rebatch some soap. How in the world do I get it out? I can't push it from the back [like I thought I could].. will some time in the freezer loosen it up? Should I put something in before the soap to make this easier? Sherie
Yep, you can try the freezer, that should work. Next time, you could lightly coat your molds with some of your soaping oils. If rebatching, you could use a little OO or avocado oil. HTH
Michi
Yep I had to stick my first cp batch into the freezer to get it out, and even then I ended up breaking my mold to get the dang log outta there. Next time I'll use a liner or spray it ever so lightly.
cmille3
I had some really, really stubborn soap once. I put the mold in the freezer and left it there for 2 days. It nearly apologized as it thunked out.
Purple Lilac
I have also left soap in the freezer for a few extra days without it effecting the soap. I do this on purpose especially with my mint soaps as mint tends to be a little bit "sticky". Depending on the shape of your mold you may want to line it as suggested, it can be a pain but you can just lift your soap out without any issues.
