BrandNewToCandles
Well, after getting my soy candles to look good in my 250ml jelly jars and dying to try layers I decided to jump in and do it. Made a nice looking candle with peach on the bottom and cucumber kiwi on top. Not the greatest color combo but the only fruit smells I had on hand. Now if I could just perfect the wicking...My question is, the layers look great now, adhered to each other but no bleeding, nice and straight and even. Will they bleed together eventually, and if so, how long can I expect to keep them looking pretty?
iammommytwo
from what I've seen w/the layered candles I've done, they pretty much stay "looking pretty" until you burn them. Then the layers will start to "melt together".HTH
Lightning Bug
Hi. I would think a taller, thinner candle would look seperate longer. Also, maybe when you pick colors, try and get two that when melted together make a seperate pretty color...ie. pink and yellow might make peach, etc. I haven't tried it, but seems like it might work.
