chiptooth
I posted this question before but still didn't get the answer...think I was asking it wrong. I have a heart pillar mold with the hole in the bottom. I have a wick pin for this mold. The guy I placed the order with suggested I put the wick plug with pointed end through the hole so it is inside the mold...obviously I can't put the wick pin in and have it laying flat. If I just put the wick pin, is there enough space underneath the base of it and the wick hole that some wax will seep out so I still need to seal the hole? I don't have any mold sealer or the silver tape. Is there anything else in the common household I could use. I have the GE Silicone that I use to glue my wicks in jars, will this work? Pam W
I use plumbers putty from the hardware store...real cheap.
RobinInOR
I always put wick pins in from the outside. Use a huge gob of mold sealer or plumbers putty between the mold and the pin base - that will help stabilize the mold so you can get it flat. chiptooth
thanks for the info on the putty..guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to try this mold out. I have 2 sick kids at home and won't be going out to the store. Darn.
