chiptooth
Although this is a bad picture...I hope someone can help. I have been using a small cotton wick for all of my votives (soy wax) and haven't had any burning issues. The company switched their wax supplier and still suggested this same wick. Lo and behold...testing spring fragrances and I get a hang up in the votive container and a wick almost drowning but good throw, not excellent but sniffable in the same room. I'm not sure what to try next. The fragrance is Spring Rain and seems like it is a light fragrance. This is the 3rd burn by the way.
ChrisR
Looks like you need to go up a wick size.
iammommytwo
I'll second the wick up a size
chiptooth
The wick is a 44-32-18c. I think the medium cotton would be too big, so I guess my real question is what shoild i try? RRD, HTP ? I think I have some GW 28 that I use for the glass easter eggs, maybe i'll trty one of those
iammommytwo
just wondering--what is the diameter of the container??
chiptooth
standard votive container
Hope
I might be mistaken here, but the diameter in that pic looks like it might be a poured flower pot. If thats the case, I've used the 44-36-18c before for personal use candles.
chiptooth
nope, just a standard size votive and actually it is a tad bit smaller cause I have to sort of jam the votive down in to get it all the way to the bottom. The lousy picture just makes it look bigger.
