UV inhibitor

Recommended Posts

I have not had to. I use 1/2 tsp per lb and do not have any wicking problems. I have also made batches of wax before and forgot to add UV and the candles still burned fine on same wicking.

Do you add it to your melting pot or do you measure it out after you put your wax in your pour pot along with FO and dye?

I measure it out for each individual batch, because some colors need a bit more, some a bit less. Some candles don't get any color added at all; depending on the fo, sometimes I can get away with adding no UV inhibitor to uncolored batches.
Thanks! I know I need to start using it as some of my candles have faded and i am ready to start selling so I don't want the candles to fade!
