SoapInTheCity
I just returned from Italy a week ago. One tour we made was to Pompei. This is a picture of their 'Central Baths'Picture 1. The entrance to the central bathsPicture 2. The 'bath' made of marblePicture 3. Washing fountain made of marbleLet's remember, Mount Vesuivius erupted in 79 AD, and already these central baths were being used for YEARS. What great condition still!Supposively a soap store was discovered with bars of soap and everything! Amungst the ash that covered everything. Gypsyjen
Too cool! I based my company name on the ancient Roman bath houses. (The Caldarium - which was the "hot water" room in the bath houses).
