Ball Candles

Recommended Posts

This is my first post, and I need a some help. I made my first ball candle last night, I am basically happy with it but, there was a rib around the center of it, where the mold fits together. Did I do something wrong when I put the thing together? Is there a way of doing it with out the rib? Help.

I make ball candles, and unfortunately there is no way to avoid getting the rib along the middle. How I "clean" it up, is to take a knife and shave as much of the excess wax off as I can, then heat the knife, and slide it gently over the seam. It melts the excess wax, and for the most part, removes the seam. Hope that helps.........

Thank you both for the info. LOL I did take a knife and "shave" the rib off of the ball, but never thought to heat the knife and blend it. I will try that tonight. and I will also keep the nylon idea handy. You have both been a help.
