htaylorrn
I've been pretty much wicking the same two jars since I started...a 9 oz oval hex and an 8 oz square tin. I always use IGI 4630 Harmony Blend. The 9 oz does well with HTP83 with most FO's and colors. The tins do better with HTP104. However, I asked a tin company for some samples and they sent one of EVERY size. I'd like to try my hand at the 16 oz tins, but I have no idea where to start with wicking; I can't find any guidelines for double wicking.I received a TON of sample wicks from Wick It...their 700 series. It has a guideline for single wicking (ex. wick x with 2-3" diameters), but is there a rule of thumb for double wicking? I have friends who would eventually like me to make some larger double wicked candles. And if anyone wicks a circular 16 oz tin with one wick, what size? Thanks,~Heather~
LRC06301983
a good rule of thumb is...testing with two wicks is probably twice as hard as wicking with one!
