Crafty1
i am not sure if this has been discussed b/f or not, but i did a search and did not get the answer to my question. i have finally mastered the part of getting the bombs to hold together using the ornament mold. my problem now is that they are not rock hard after a few days. if i were to squeeze it really hard, the bomb will break. what can i add to the formula to make them harder? i don't have my notes here w/ me at work, but the recipe is something like2 cups baking soda1 cup SLSA1/2 citric acid2 TBS oil of choice1/2 cup cornstarchFO to my likingcolor if desired. i am doing this from memory, so i might not have my measurements right. RobinInOR
It's all in the balance between wet and dry, and your environment. In looking at the recipe I use, for every tablespoon of oil, I've got a little less than 2.5 cups of dry (baking soda, salt, slsa, citric acid, cornstarch)So I use a bit more dry than your recipe. And I use about 1/2 that much cornstarch. It's a never ending test, it seems, who'd think BBs would be so difficult, eh?
