415 vs 444

Recommended Posts

Hello! I am new to candle making and this forum has been awesome! I know that different people prefer different waxes and what works for one might not work for another, so I might get varying viewpoints.

I have noticed that 415 and 444 have higher melt points, and that 415 is all natural where 444 has additives. In your option, what wax has the better scent throw? Do you ever add crisco to either one? Is it possible to get smooth tops with 415 without using a heat gun and doing repours? Thanks!!
