Dolphin146
Ok I know my math is bad But this is driving me nuts. If you use 1 oz per pound of wax and you use .5 per half pound of wax then how much fo would I use for 2 oz of wax. This allways drives me nuts. Is there a chart to help me with this. Thanks
MoonshadowLane
Here's a ratio and proportion calculator http://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/math/ratios.phpA= 1 oz FO for every,B= 16 oz of waxThat is proportional toC= how much FO for,D= 2 oz of wax.The answer is .125 oz. or 1/8 oz.Hope this helps. brittany
You would use .125 oz for 2 oz of wax. To make it easier in the future you can take .0625 (the percentage of wax you use per pound in decimal form) and multiply it by the ounces of wax you plan to use. Chefmom
For small amounts its so much easier to switch to grams.100grams at 6% Fo is 6 grams FO50 grams wax 3 grams FO2 ounces of wax is just under 60 (56.7g)grams of wax, so at 6% you would need 3.6 grams of FOIf I want to test one jelly jar, it's at 160 grams full, or 100 grams 60% full. That way I only make the one tester.

SliverOfWax
Agree with grams. Much easier and more accurate.
