Rawsonst
Hi, I'm quite new to candle making and I'm trying to replicate this effect on pillars. I'm using paraffin, I've tried mineral oil to mottle and that didn't seem to do much. I've tried cold pouring and that didn't give me the internal texture. Do any seasoned candle makers know what additives or technique I would use to get this look?
cindym
Hey, I can get that kind of mottling by adding steric , about 3 tbsp to three lbs of 1343 plus .5 ozs fo per pound. I pour at about 165 into room temp. molds. Oh I also add about a tsp of uv additive per lb.
