  1. I know I'm quite a bit behind finding out about these price increases, so bare with me why I say....HOLY ~hit kickers!!!! I can't believe how much WSP has raised prices. I am paying $24 more for the same product I purchased last Spring. That is a ridiculous price increase. I will definately be looking for other suppliers. It sucks, because the fragrances I buy are very good sellers :-(

I guess this shows how much their customers mean to them - it's all about the moolah.

  2. If anything thanks for all the hits to my site! I will address some of the problems with my site. If only to make it better for my customers not because anyone on this forum said to. Thanks your your input however you intended it.

    Bye!:P

Wow, with that attitude I actually feel a little sorry for your potential customers. Critiquing does not involve sugar-coating.

  3. Great that the hubby thought your's were better. Any else find it funny that she made the comment "mine are better". How does reselling something that a machine made make it hers??? :laugh2:

I was thinking of saying - oh you make them? But I didn't want to press my luck! :shocked2:

  4. Just had to share my scentsy experience from this past weekend's show...

A man and woman walked by my booth, the man stopping to smell the fragrances commenting "nice", "that's good", etc. When right in front of me his wife/girlfriend says hatefully to him loud enough for me to hear "we don't like these, i sell scentsy and mine are better..."

Him and I look at each other, me with a look like "ok, then" and him shaking his head no and whispering to me he likes my scents better.

LOL - I just snickered to myself and thought poor guy. Some people amaze me.

  5. I understand if the fragrance companies want/need to reformalate theirs oils. I just wish they'd have the professionalism to post a statement on their website that they've done this. (Some do, and I'm happy about that).

However, for the ones that don't it's frustrating to make a large purchase of oils to find out they don't work and then you're out the money.

I'm sure the majority of us don't have that kind of money to just throw away. :(

  6. I had a problem on every order from them except my very first 2 orders. I used to order jars and I had issues with broken jars, wrong lids, wrong jars, and wrong quantities.

I would call and leave a message, they would call back a couple days later. I never got any replies via email contact.

  7. if the order is for "thousands" require that it be send western union. that's what we used to pay our companies in china.. if they ask why or seem offended.. you'll know why. I deal alot with companies overseas,,, and the real ones,,, they know all about western union

Thank you! I will suggest this form of payment.

  8. That was my concern with Paypal - it seems they always side with the buyer and I would be afraid the person would try a dispute and I'd be out the product and money and like you said, a frozen account!

I am aware of the scams, I've received many of those emails. But, this one is worded a little differently and being a business I cannot just make the assumption it is a scam and not even contact the person back. On the chance it's not, I don't want to miss out on a sale just because I am afraid it might be. I am cautious and that is why I thought I'd ask about the best type of international payment to accept - one that would cover my butt.

Thanks for the comments! I have not heard back on my last email sent to this person, so we'll see...maybe a scam..or maybe not. lol!

  9. I have my first international order - woohoo! But, as I normally only ship within the US I am not sure what form of payment to accept.

For those of you who have accepted these orders what do you accept. Just credit cards or other forms and if so what type? This is a several thousand dollar order so I want to protect myself from any payment issues.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

  10. I used Flickers oils before she closed her website. Now they are sold thru Elements and they seem to have all of them that I can see. The ones I love best are:

    Patchouli Honey

    Christmas Pines

    Tuscan Lace

    Strawberry Rhubarb

Bay Rum (the best bay rum!)

    Cinnamon Bun

    Vanilla Supreme

    Red Tea

    Pink Sugar

    Green Irish Tweed

I know there are more but I can't remember anymore off the top of my head. But they work well in parrafin and soy. The first three are my top sellers.

I was wondering about the Patchouli Honey - I am looking for a patch to replace Witches Brew from BCN. I should try this one next. Thank you!

  11. Hi All ~

I searched for Elements but haven't found a lot of reviews. I just ordered a few fragrances from them, and OOB they smell FANTASTIC!!!

I have yet to find a Bayberry I like, but theirs OOB smells so great! I am pouring some testers today while watching the games so I can't wait to try it.

If anyone reading this has tried some of Elements FOs what do you think are the must haves? I am also testing Sweet Pumpkin which smells delicious!

  12. Email back..

    I Say....

Try it, you might like it..:cheesy2: I highly recommend it..

    Thanks for asking..

If she likes it.. She will be back.. If not.. Oh well, no loss...:rolleyes2

I agree with Islandgirl! You're in a business, you received a question about your product (use the "there are no stupid questions" philosophy here :rolleyes2) you should answer it!

Hope the following example might help you come up with a reply! ...

...Unfortunately candles, like many consumer products, are something that you just have to purchase in order to try. Once you've tried the product then you can make the educated decision as to if it was a great candle or not. Of course we believe our candles are great and so do our repeat customers. However, your best solution would be to give us a try! You never know - you may even wind up making us (or insert company name here) your favorite candle company!

    What do you think? HTH!!!

  13. That's a good point; if they mention protected territory I may bring up private labeling as an alternative! Thanks

What I found was that some of the people asking for protected territories are the ones who would buy the least--the bare minimum, which isn't worth protecting.

If you choose to offer protected territory it is important to establish a dollar amount and the time frame in which they have to purchase the set amount. Retailers know it's the way it works. If they sqwak about the dollar amount, then suggest they do private label, which is actually better than protected territory. Sure it costs them a little bit more, but it's more exclusive and a guarantee that they will return to the store when they want more because they think they can't get it elsewhere.

  14. Vicky_CO - that's true I may need to go down to block instead of street. And yes, I am only wanting to be prepared with information if the retailer mentions protected territory, otherwise I definitely don't want to offer it.

Barncat - you raised a good point about other shops with an additional location nearby the exclusive. Thanks!

On this particular neighborhood of shops I personally see the same brand products in several of the stores so my plan is to not even mention an exclusive.

    Thanks!
