  1. I know I'm quite a bit behind finding out about these price increases, so bare with me why I say....HOLY ~hit kickers!!!! I can't believe how much WSP has raised prices. I am paying $24 more for the same product I purchased last Spring. That is a ridiculous price increase. I will definately be looking for other suppliers. It sucks, because the fragrances I buy are very good sellers :-( I guess this shows how much their customers mean to them - it's all about the moolah.
  2. Wow, with that attitude I actually feel a little sorry for your potential customers. Critiquing does not involve sugar-coating.
  3. I would suggest citing the information on your History of Soy Candles page. Here is a good website to follow http://library.duke.edu/research/citing/
  4. I was thinking of saying - oh you make them? But I didn't want to press my luck!
  5. Just had to share my scentsy experience from this past weekend's show... A man and woman walked by my booth, the man stopping to smell the fragrances commenting "nice", "that's good", etc. When right in front of me his wife/girlfriend says hatefully to him loud enough for me to hear "we don't like these, i sell scentsy and mine are better..." Him and I look at each other, me with a look like "ok, then" and him shaking his head no and whispering to me he likes my scents better. LOL - I just snickered to myself and thought poor guy. Some people amaze me.
  6. I understand if the fragrance companies want/need to reformalate theirs oils. I just wish they'd have the professionalism to post a statement on their website that they've done this. (Some do, and I'm happy about that). However, for the ones that don't it's frustrating to make a large purchase of oils to find out they don't work and then you're out the money. I'm sure the majority of us don't have that kind of money to just throw away.
  7. LOL! Yea, I think of ALL the money I'd have in my account right now if I would have known it was this easy! :rolleyes2
  8. Not sure how old this is, but thought you might enjoy it! http://www.doityourself.com/stry/holiday-soy-candles
  9. I use psprint.com and am very happy with their service. I've had them make postcards and tri brochures. The brochures were .14 ea and I believe the postcards came out to .08 ea. They are fast too!
  10. I had a customer ask me this as well. Apparently the Scentsy consultant told her that ONLY Scentsy melts will work in their warmers. Sounds like a trick to get you only to reorder from them. I checked out the wattage of their melters; same as most....25 watt.
  11. figured i'd update...after suggesting paypal or wester union payment terms I have not heard back. So I think it's safe to say it was a scammer. thanks for the suggestions on international payment types!
  12. I had a problem on every order from them except my very first 2 orders. I used to order jars and I had issues with broken jars, wrong lids, wrong jars, and wrong quantities. I would call and leave a message, they would call back a couple days later. I never got any replies via email contact.
  13. Thank you! I will suggest this form of payment.
  14. That was my concern with Paypal - it seems they always side with the buyer and I would be afraid the person would try a dispute and I'd be out the product and money and like you said, a frozen account! I am aware of the scams, I've received many of those emails. But, this one is worded a little differently and being a business I cannot just make the assumption it is a scam and not even contact the person back. On the chance it's not, I don't want to miss out on a sale just because I am afraid it might be. I am cautious and that is why I thought I'd ask about the best type of international payment to accept - one that would cover my butt. Thanks for the comments! I have not heard back on my last email sent to this person, so we'll see...maybe a scam..or maybe not. lol!
  15. It's a country in Africa. I do have a paypal account and could always use it I guess. Thanks for the suggestion!
  16. I have my first international order - woohoo! But, as I normally only ship within the US I am not sure what form of payment to accept. For those of you who have accepted these orders what do you accept. Just credit cards or other forms and if so what type? This is a several thousand dollar order so I want to protect myself from any payment issues. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  17. Cool, my next order will def include the Patchouli! Thanks
  18. I was wondering about the Patchouli Honey - I am looking for a patch to replace Witches Brew from BCN. I should try this one next. Thank you!
  19. Thanks for the info, I like candle science as well, so I will keep that in mind.
  20. I thought I saw where they carry their oils. Thanks!
  21. Hi All ~ I searched for Elements but haven't found a lot of reviews. I just ordered a few fragrances from them, and OOB they smell FANTASTIC!!! I have yet to find a Bayberry I like, but theirs OOB smells so great! I am pouring some testers today while watching the games so I can't wait to try it. If anyone reading this has tried some of Elements FOs what do you think are the must haves? I am also testing Sweet Pumpkin which smells delicious!
  22. I agree with Islandgirl! You're in a business, you received a question about your product (use the "there are no stupid questions" philosophy here :rolleyes2) you should answer it! Hope the following example might help you come up with a reply! ... ...Unfortunately candles, like many consumer products, are something that you just have to purchase in order to try. Once you've tried the product then you can make the educated decision as to if it was a great candle or not. Of course we believe our candles are great and so do our repeat customers. However, your best solution would be to give us a try! You never know - you may even wind up making us (or insert company name here) your favorite candle company! What do you think? HTH!!!
  23. That's a good point; if they mention protected territory I may bring up private labeling as an alternative! Thanks
  24. Vicky_CO - that's true I may need to go down to block instead of street. And yes, I am only wanting to be prepared with information if the retailer mentions protected territory, otherwise I definitely don't want to offer it. Barncat - you raised a good point about other shops with an additional location nearby the exclusive. Thanks! On this particular neighborhood of shops I personally see the same brand products in several of the stores so my plan is to not even mention an exclusive. Thanks!
