Leisa2003...it does sound like a good blend doesn't it...hope you can come up with your own mix. Yeah, the one from JS was very short lived.
-
From what I've read on those FB wax/tart pages, the one they all seem to like is the one with Cherry, Vanilla & Coconut. Wish the JS version was stronger for me.
-
I tried the one from JS in my para-soy tart blend and it's very light...too light in fact that I'm not sure it'll even be good to use as a mixer. Smells good OOB but in my wax it just didn't perform.
-
How's Oregon in para-soy or do they mostly cater oils for b&b?
-
I feel your pain!! I had that same thing happen with a red (not from Peaks)...I think it was from Candlescience. Now when I open a new dye bottle I peek inside to see how far it's filled up. Live & learn huh.
-
Same here...a few worked but not many in my wax and I've tried quite a few.
-
Just saw that...amazing. They say it's lighter on the maple side but I have a pretty good maple I could boost it with that. Didn't realize they were reformulating the Holly Berry too.
-
Everytime I go on their site I keep checking to see if it's back in stock. Had hopes it would have been back in stock for the Fall/Winter season.
-
It's my understanding that the KY is 70/30...70% paraffin & 30% soy. It's what I've read but do not know 100% the exact percentages.
-
Thanks Chandler...will give her a buzz tomorrow.
-
I just went on their site and it's still showing "out of stock" along with a lot of others. Chandlers...how did you get to order it? Did you have to call & place your order?
-
I had someone ask me if I made them yesterday...I don't. She said for some reason the ones she's been buying from several places (major retailers) are all of a sudden very weak and seemed watered down.
-
Pixie...if you don't mind sharing..did you do a 50/50? I have like 20# of 4627 I'm trying to figure out how to use up.
-
Sounds very encouraging!!! So many samples I've gotten in from various suppliers have been less than stellar. Will have to give them a look. Look forward to seeing how they do in wax. Post again once you do.
-
Blacktieaffair...do you use the 4794 straight or mixed with a container wax?
-
I too have come across this problem. My last several orders from NG was not up to snuff...weak, bland, very little OOB scent and disappointing CT & HT...I only do tarts. They use to be one of my top suppliers. Whatever is going on I wish it would stop...I've thrown away more samples than I care to know. If I order 10 samples, I'm lucky if one is a keeper..didn't use to be this way.

Congratulations!!! Who do you purchase the 3022 from?

When I use my tealight burner for melts they don't last as long as when I use my 2 in 1 electric burner (24watts). It's been my experience tealights burn hotter shortening the melts fragrance lifespan. It also depends on the height of where the tealight sits from the bowl. I have a short squatty tealight burner and melts will last around 3-4 hrs because of the heat. My taller burner will last longer because the tealight is farther away from the bowl. Hope this makes sense.

I tried a 50/50 of 4625 & 4627 a couple of months back and found the tarts to be on the "tacky" feeling side. You might still want to try it to see what you think.
-
I was just going to mention the bags...if you found them in the jewelry making dept and if they are the same ones my Wal-Mart sells, they are not polypro. When I first started years ago I used them without knowing and they did suck the scent out...found out the hard way.
-
ChandlerWicks...I remember about FB oils..what a waste. Anyway, am moving on...lol Will try a few of hers..thanks for the heads up on Witches Brew OOB...that's one on my "want" list. Off to see what kind of damage I can do.
-
May have to break down and buy some..been eyeing them for a long time. Since they are "thick" are they hard to mix in?
-
Always wanted to try her oils...I only make paraffin tarts..how are they in paraffin?
-
Oh thank you so much Karen M!!! I've been on the fence about ordering. And, thanks for the other FO suggestions...Pears N Berries sounds delicious!!!

I hear you on shipping costs. Try asking in the Classies and see if someone can send you some cheaper. Good luck.
