  1. I would be very interested in knowing too. I bought one a few months ago, but not been very happy with it. Same model. It streaks the labels, even when I clean it. It won't feed certain ones, like the foil ones. I worked with Dell, and with the company that makes the foils. But no luck. Maybe I just don't know how to use it. I have always used Inkjets, this is my first laser. On a clear label, with black ink, it is awesome, if it doesn't streak. I also find that it seems to use the cartridges faster than I had hoped. They are very expensive.

But it is super fast, that is for sure. I think the biggest problems is certain types of paper.

Like I said, it could be me. I really hate breaking in new equipment. We bought a new computer and a new printer at the same time, been fighting them both ever since.

  2. Interesting thread.

When I first started making candles, I used the 1.5 oz, no matter what wax I was using. 4794 doesn't hold that much, and my melts seeped like crazy. I had a heck of a time wicking my containers, using that scent load in my soy blend. I finally backed off, my candles burn cleaner, and with a better melt pool the scent is even stronger. Lot less headaches, less cost, cleaner burning. I have never had anyone ask me about triple scenting, I seldom have people worry about what is in the candle. What they want is a strong, long burning candle, a super strong melt. And I want to sell a melt or a candle that whoever uses it is blown away with how good it is. People are so used to junk candles for $2.99 at Walmart, they are so surprised by a decent candle. Not that Walmart doesn't carry some that look pretty good. I haven't burned one in years, but some of them have a great cold smell.

  3. i use their Sultry Angel and it has been an overwhelming success. I have not found one person that doesn't like it.

I haven't tried any others. They claim that the Sultry can be used a lot less, but it seems like I still have to use quite a bit.

  4. Funny how these forums can follow along with what is going on with me.

I am getting ready to reorder the frosted sacks. I don't know if the price has gone up, or what, but they sure seem higher. With the cost of everything going up, just one more item. I have used these with colored tissue since I first started retailing about three years ago. I love the bags, I get lots of compliments and actually do a gift bag with a ribbon and a card fastened to them. I do my own labels, and switch with the season. I, too, think they are a great advertisement. The cost is added in my price. But I have thought about having a cheaper one for little items. Just so many extra costs these days, even a few scents hurts. So it is hard to know the value. Actually this thread helps me to decide to go ahead with what I am doing.

    Thanks, guys.

  5. A frustrated me again. I did as suggested and waited over night. Used the fridge, did all that several times and still can't get it to come out right. I made a jillion of these for about two years, with little problem. Now I cannot make one to save my soul. The wax at the front of the picture sticks to the mold. The rest of the candle is fine. I am losing sales, wasted way too much time on this. But when these turn out they are so cool.

I appreciate the help, really. But does anyone have any other suggestions? What am I missing? I dumped the wax, (I use 1343), and started with a fresh batch twice, thinking maybe something got in the wax. Still wondering if that is the culprit.

    Help

  6. Thanks, I was hoping for one closer to the WSP one. I had called the company and asked if they could contact their supplier to see if I could get it. I am looking at a very large contract if I can get this soap. I had given out a sample to a customer, and they loved it. Then of course I can't get it anymore. Bummer. WSP did contact the manufacturer but was told they had no plans to make it again.

Anyone else know of anything? But thanks a bunch anyway.

  7. Does anyone make the hurricane photo candles? I got the directions off of this site, have been making them a couple of years with few problems. The last few ones we have made have not been turning out. Part of the wax on the outside of the picture has been falling off. Any ideas? One that I have been thinking is that maybe we are rushing the process.

Thanks, we are open to any suggestions.

  8. I have used the Fresh Outdoors, I don't particularly like it but I don't like the fresh scents. Lemon Bundt Cake is incredible, as well as the Banana Creme Pie. Love the Strawberry Margarita and the Honeydew Melon. I also have used the Rain Special for quite a while now. And of course the Pumpkin Pie one, that one I really like and so do my customers. I also use the Lily, but it seems weak.

I added Lime Kiwi too, the Maple and the Aqua one. I am anxious to try these too. That is so cheap. I have not had one that I didn't like, and I have been buying them for a long time. Only trouble is that people really like them too, and then they are gone. I am going to advertize some of these as limited time only.

  9. I have used this company for going on three years, and I have never been disappointed. They are really cheap, can't beat those prices as far as I know. I have some that I ordered going on three years ago, and still write with them, and the printing has not faded at all. Unfortunately, I moved my business before the pens wore out and the information was not accuarate any more.

Actually just ordered some two or three weeks ago, I couldn't believe how quickly they showed up.
