  1. C3 is a soy wax. I have never used it I use ecosoya soy so I am not sure how that applies but I gained my knowledge of what temperature to pour from forums and google searches. I've tried adding FO at higher temps but it has a tendency to burn off in the soy that I use. Furthermore I think my manufacturers instructions says not to heat it above 180 the melting point for my brand is 150.
  2. I have not used CS hazelnut I have used CS though. It and Lonestar were the first oils I started out with. I tried using 1oz per pound, that is not enough you have to use 1.5 ounces per pound and also add your oil at a lower temp at about 150 degrees. The good thing with CS is it cures nicely in my wax ecosoya and months later you'll go back and smell a strong candle. CS gets better with time.
  3. I buy a lot of millcreek fragrance oils. Most of them are very very good and have great throw. Everyone loves Rasberry Creme Brule or maybe it's raspberry creme, love their zen, and blackberry sage, though crafters choice blackberry sage tea rocks this one out and I have to break down and pay a little more for the crafters choice for this fragrance and this is big for me since I only use crafters choice for soap not candles, love Millcreeks applejack and peel, the ones I have left in the bottle are hillbilly home brew, and lick me all over, these two scents make me sick when I smell them, I am going to set aside one day in the month to make bad scents. I also love their citrus scents tangerine chili, and another one. I tried the tranquil did not like it in the bottle but figured maybe men would like it so made it anyway. It was OK. Millcreek is very reliable with hot throw in soy and it cures well. Still I would try to look around for reviews or buy sample bottle for unknown scents.
  4. I ordered the fragrance and did not like it out of the bottle. My mom loved it.
  5. I ordered a sample bottle. I was not in love with the smell of it out of the bottle but my mom thought it was awesome.
  6. I use various sizes of containers from 4 ounces to 12.5 ounces when I pour a batch. I've even adjusted the wick. I started out using 1 ounce per pound but went up to 1.5 ounces per pound in ecosoya. I have tried other peoples sandalwood about three other companies but nothing compares to Lonestar Candle. However it has no hot throw and loses its cold throw as the months go by. This is a big issue for me because I love the smell and would like to offer the scents for sell but not if they don't give off a scent.
  7. I love love love the smell of Lonestar sandalwood and coconut hibiscus. I have not found the scents anywhere else however for soy they have absolutely no throw. Is anyone aware of where I can find these delicious smells that will throw in soy.
