  1. When the mare gets very close to having her foal her udders will fill up with milk and she may start to drip a little. As the mare gets even closer to delivery the teats have almost a 'waxy' like coating on the ends of them and the whole udder has a wax like appearance also. I know that this can happen around 2 weeks before a mare actually gives birth, but it most often times is one of those signs that folks are looking for! My dad said he's noticed it only AFTER the foal was born a few times too. And here a cool little tidbit.. horses can actually delay the foaling for a time. It's maddening for sure. But if they don't want anyone around when they foal, they will wait until no one is!!

Ahhhh...thanks for the info. Goes to show you learn something new every day.

  2. Dilution also depends on the types of oils you use for the paste. As least that's what I have found. Some oils don't require as much water to dilute while others take more. It's trial and error. Take REALLY GOOD NOTES so you can repeat your process the next time.

  3. Ingredient list looks a little scant to be a rebatched shampoo base with SLS added. Here's the list for one of them:

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (Shampoo Base) Coconut Oil, Water, Fragrance

Unless they aren't listing everything in the base?

I know SLS makes the bubbles but I wonder what other purpose it serves. I mean if you just made a shampoo bar wouldn't that almost be the same thing. I guess I am just trying to figure out why it's in there. I may just have to try it myself I guess...LOL

  4. Any one know what purpose this serves? My sister went to this B&B store and brought me an information sheet on what goes into each of their bath bombs and dextrose is listed in quite a few of them but not all of them. Just curious if any one knows what it does or more importantly why is it in there?

  5. I was looking at this yesterday, but didn't know how it worked. Can you put money into it like paypal and have a debit card. Or can you use paypal and google checkout combined? It looks interesting, but I was interested in the pros and cons of it.

They don't offer a debit card like paypal but there are no processing fees until 12/31/07. You can use both on your site. I offer both but have only had one person use it so far. You have to set up a google account during checkout in order to process the order. The one order I did have google didn't correctly add the total right which I thought was pretty funny myself. It was only off a few scents. They do however have the option of creating coupons for the customer.
