  1. Okay, one more I promise. :-) I have a bunch of jars I am using without covers. I have a vision in my head of a plastic "lid" with maybe holes in them to put over the tops to somewhat protect the candle. Do these exist?? :D

    Thanks

  2. I am in a bit of a dilemna. I need to make 1-1/2 lbs worth of burgandy candles and I am down to 2 burgundy chips. I use 2 chips per lb - I like 'em dark. What would be the best mix, I hav Mahogany or Cranberry, Brown, well you name it I got it except Burgandy. HELP!!:undecided

  3. Okay, I've been making candles for about a year now and I have only had this happen to me twice with the same fo. When it starts to set up the fo is at the bottom - looking like a gel candle while the top is all creamy like a reg jar candle should look like.

    What to do??

I was told pour hotter but I poured at 190 degrees, pour into pour pot and add fragrance. Is this wrong? It works on all the others.

  4. Hey guys it's been a while since I posted. I am starting to try and expand my scent list. I only like food scents and I need to start steering away from them a little.

I already use: Lilac, Lily of the Valley, Rose, Gardenia, Cashmere, Morning Dew, Autumn Lodge, Woodstock, Love Spell, and leather.

I think I need maybe something musky or well..what do you guys suggest?

  5. hi guys. I haven't posted in a while but then I asked who liked what kind of dyes and a lot of you said liquid. So, I got some but I haven't had to use it 'till now. How much do I use?

I currently have been using chips and they say 1 chip to 1 lb of wax, I use 2 chips. I like dark and vibrant colors!

    Thanks

  6. I am thinking about layering a votive with different colors like a candy cane or something. I this sea of vast knowledgable people.. hehe When do you pour the second color? I know you can't wait too long or it won't come out the the mold too easily but if you pour too quickly it will just blend with the other colors. Argh! :P

    Thanks
