Ps let me know how the burn goes
-
I think between the two I liked the cds better I was able to use a single wick in the apothecary jars with no problem I got the same results with hot throw with both wicks but I noticed that with certain fos the.Zincs would mushroom and smoke slightly but as a beginner Zincs are great to start with for this wax when I started in 07 I bought my wicks from lonestar I used the cd 10's

I never done this for craft shows but it would be a good idea maybe not through the whole year just around the holidays the time of the year everyone is looking for gifts maybe just try it once somewhere that you know you have good sales and see how it works out
-
I never had a mushrooming problem unless I used them with heavier fos when I had heavier fos like most bakery scents I used cds and they worked well

Great results is what you make of it. Being new to candle making I think your expectations is very high just starting and filling an area with scent is a great result but you do always aim higher.remember the fo you are using may not be as strong as others if your not getting the results you want.maybe try ordering the scent from a different supplier. Just work on your candle making skills before you expect to just duplicate a product. I think it took everyone a long time to get where they are but I'm just saying 4627 is a very easy wax to work with and for me had an awesome scent throw. I use to use this wax in the apothecary jars and when I had family and friends test my candles before I sold they always had positive feedback saying the candle was able tpbfill the house I probably sound like I'm babbling maybe lack of sleep I would also try zinc wicks they worked for me anyways

Very nice love them all

I've used the 4627 for a couple years and its a great wax you should have no problem with ht. I mainly used zinc and cds in this wax depending on the fo. Letting them sit will really help with the ht. And I only ever had to use 1oz pp if it doesn't throw well with 1oz I would consider finding a different fo to use this wax is nothing like soy and should give you great results

I never heard of over stirring I usually stir right when I add the fo for two mins then stir every few mins while I'm waiting for it to cool and stir once.more before I pour

I have to say I started making candles in 2007 with paraffin wax. I decided to make the switch to soy two years ago. Paraffin for me was easy I got a great candle and everything was down to a t! Soy wax for me has been a battle and I was going to give up but with all the requests for soy even though how hard I tried to express that soy was no better than paraffin it seemed that I either made soy or nothing. I've been pulling my hair out with this wax but today I finally got the results I was looking for and I just want to say thank you to everyone who's posts lead me in the direction I needed. I've been reading these forums for five years and never thought of registering but now I have.to hopefully help others. Hopefully I don't sound like a nut lol.
Btw Stella your posts have always been so helpful
