  1. I have a FAN page. I never did understand why a lot of Vendors use their personal account as their fan page.

I think it may be laziness? It does take a bit more time to setup a fan page/add tabs, but it's so worth it.

I noticed Just Scent and Natures Garden don't have a "Fan page", They just have a regular account, so you HAVE to send a friends request, in order to post on their pages.

  2. Are there any scents you just can't find to match your expectations and you keep trying over and over and over with new suppliers? I often find I have to blend to find perfection but there's still a handful that I can't find "off the shelf" or even blend to be able to be truly happy.

Here's my list, what's yours? I have tried at least SEVEN fo's plus my own endless blending for each of these and still I'm not thrilled......

Sugar Cookie (AH Sugared Shortbread winner so far, testing Fillmore now and might be it)

    Butter Rum (I give up)

Coconut (BCN the winner so far)

Cotton Candy (I have several I like and just need to decide and stick to it!)

Salty Air (Daystar Salty Sailor winner so far)

    Buttercream (I give up)

Coconut Cream Pie (KY is the winner so far but find it to be weak, accurate, but weak)

Banana (NG Bananza winner so far but not thrilled with it)

Carrot Cake (can't seem to get that cream cheese frosting note)

Birthday Cake (AH the winner so far)

Apricot (Just By Nature had the best but now I'm still hunting)

Toasted Marshmallow (KY the winner so far)

Pie Crust (only 3 FOs tested....so far! ICS seems to be ok)

Graham Cracker (only 5 FOs tested....so far!)

This is the BEST Craham Cracker, IMO

  3. I've tried many and got a fuel smell with many of them. Someone on here, ChrisR, I think, suggested Genwax's and I LOVE it!! No fuel, true scent and good throw (but unfortunately, not b&b safe). I also liked summer dreamsicle from Lone Star (don't know if they still carry it, though)--it wasn't a true orange/vanilla, but it was a very nice scent, and no fuel. The closest Trapp version was from Willow Woods, but again, I got the dreaded fuel smell with that one. I'm sure if it's b&b safe, it would be wonderful in soaps, lotions, body sprays, etc. HTH

I use Lone Stars.. I agree with you on not enough Vanilla.. but still 100 times better than Yankme's, IMO.

  4. I wish we had made arrangements to meet at the Open House!! I smelled this one and bought a sample. It is really nice but I've not poured it yet. I'll let you know! It has a very vanilla note, very nice one.

I was talking to a friend, and she said it smelled kinda like JS Vanilla Bean Noel.. Do you get that, too?

I'm going to go ahead and order a pound.

  5. I always thought Save on Scents was better formulated to be used for bath and body although it could be used for candles, however, their claim to fame is for bath and body FO's. Am I mistaken?

I actually just ordered 2 pounds of SOS Pink Sugar [type] about 30 minutes ago...I like they they offer free shipping if you spend $100.. and 4 free 1 oz samples (you get to choose two of them)

So i'm excited to see if it's better than Nature Gardens Pink Sugar.

  6. Does anyone have Light Blue Sky from DS?

Has the formula changed? (I guess it was Soap Silly Wholesale Supplies formula)

Just wanted to make sure before I placed an order with DS.

Any other oils that are really good from DS?

    :rolleyes2

    Thanks!

    John

  7. OK, So i've been really busy with orders.. BUT, the BB's from JS are excellent in paraffin (tarts).. My favorite is Blonde Moment!!! (It smells like Sweet tarts, the candy) I've had the same tart going in the electric warmer since last night.. and I'm still getting whiffs of it here and there..

The Orange Juice Cake is nothing to Facebook/blog about.. But it may be because i'm not into cakey-bakery scents.

The Orange Sherbet is delicious, too!

    VERY impressed with these oils!

  8. If anyone was thinking about ordering Fruitopia from Taylored Conceps, Don't.:lipsrseal

I drank the Fruitopia drink during my Jr high/High School years, daily. TC's Fruitopia smells nothing like it, nor does it smell good, period.

I contacted TC asking if their oil was fresh (it smells old), and was told they "Mix-To-Order", So everything is made fresh at the time your order is placed.

I'm thinking about sending the bottle back, along with some tarts so they can get an idea of what it smells like.
