  1. Try the twisting technique it has worked so far with my pillar candle. I have been making candles for years. I thought it was just the wicks I bought. Mine also curl to one side. Until I found your question and tried the twisting technique I thought it was the type of wick I was buying. Try it. I am very happy.

  2. It 's working. It has been a problem for me for years. I can't believe I am just now hearing about twisting the wick. I will continue to do this all the time. I thought it was the kind of wicks. Thank you everyone for your help. The wick is turning and the pillar is heating the same all around. It is still early in the burn, and hope I am not speaking to soon. I am so glad to get the help.

  3. I get frosting. I don't see it as much with my pillars. I get it with my container candles. I will say if I melt the wax that I poured in the container and re-pored the wax it seems to take away the frosting, sometimes, not all the time. I am not really sure why this happens. I also use soy wax. Frosting is normal for soy wax. I put that on all my product.

  4. Candlewic is the name of the scent company. I don't think that is the issue all the other scents I have tried and tested burn fine. Same containers same wicks every thing. I use half a ounce of fragrance per pound of wax. I actually have went bigger on my wick size. I have been doing this for 3 years and have never encountered this problem. That is why I think it has to do with butter in the name.

  5. I have the scents maple butter and hot buttered rum. I have had a hard time getting them to burn proper I was wondering if any one else had problems with the scents? I think they smell great I just can't get the wick to burn good. I have used the ecosoya CB 135 and the nature wax vegetable wax. I have not yet tried the scents in my pillars. Only containers. I have not had this problem in any other scents. Help please.

  6. I have tried the WR2000 it works good with my blueberry smell. I get some of the smells from Lone Star candle company. I have also tried the WR2001 still not the results I feel good with. I have never had this many problems with a certain smell. I am really wondering if any one else has had this problem with maple butter. 1/2 pint mason jars the top is appr. 2 1/2 inches wide.

  7. The type of wax I am using is EcoSoya CB-135. The container is a 8 once mason jar and the fragrance and wick both came from candle wic. I would sure be thankful for any advice on the maple butter smell. I use 1/2 ounce per pound of wax.

  8. I think I have it all figured out when I make candles as far as the wick size. I am having some problems with maple butter. I love the scent. What I am saying is that I have went up 3 wick sizes and still not getting a good burn. I am using the square braided wick and the eight once jar. Is there anyone else using this scent that can tell me what wick to use and the fact that maybe it is the soy wax I am using. Please help.

  9. I am just about done myself. I refuse to be done with candle making. I would love to hear about what works best as far as the wicks from candlewic for 3' pillars. I almost have all of them. I should have let every one know it is the square braided ones. Please help.

I should have said I use the EcoSoya pillar wax also, but I am still trying to figure out the wick size. Help.
