  1. I've never ordered from Peaks (I KNOW shame on me!) But, if I had to guess more then likely if this happened twice it's got something to do with your UPS guy. Some of them are terrible and really don't care about your stuff sadly. I know for me fedex is a nightmare so I stay away from them at ALL cost. BUT I do understand your frustration and if your like me it don't take much to frustrate you :)

  2. Debbie, that looks great! I've seen tutorials on doing this and was going to, but our counters were pretty icky, so it was better to just cover them :)

As for the cabinet transformation kit. I got the white base. I didn't find the deglossing hard at all. And I have never redone any type of cabinet or anything for that matter and yep I was very nervous lol I also found the clear coat very easy as well, it goes on much better then what you have heard and pretty darn durable. We actually got another can of clear coat thinking what they gave wouldn't be enough, but it was and I haven't used the other one. I can wipe my cabinets no problems, but if something gets on them that you would normally use a fingernail to scratch of, you can't. It did pull a tiny bit of paint off :( Since your doing yours dark I assume you won't be doing the "stain" part? I did the stain and found that part to be the hardest.

  3. That really looks great! I thought about doing that, then got lazy and just bought new formica (granite look alike) to cover the old stuff lol Much cheaper then to buy the sheet then the entire counter top. And Debbie, I did the Rustoleum Cabinet Transformation kit to my cabinets and I LOVE it! It's a lot of work, but mine are holding up very well. I did mine in an antique white look. I also did the shelves that were on the wall between my cabinets above my sink and it all matches very well together :)

  4. My cousins are both blind (married) and live alone as well. I think they adjust very well for the most part of the seeing world. Mine get on facebook which amazes me lol Other then smelling and braille, not really sure how else you could really help a blind person. I was thinking along the lines of a seeing person when buying them at a store or festival/fair etc. I will send my cousin a message on facebook and let you know what she says :)

  5. It really stinks because right now I'm in demo. mode in my house and really can't test anything, at least not without getting frustrated because I have to stop for this or that :( After a year of gutting our house we're almost done!!!!) My "room" is all done but hubby knows I'm a wax slob and wants to put down linoleum lol and he wants to put my sink in yet.... *taps foot waiting and waiting* BUT I can buy, hoard and wait :)

  6. My hubby plays craps and he's pretty good at it. On the rare occasion that I do go I just stand and watch him play lol But you two sound like me :) They have a weekly slot tournament and Black Jack up here. You get to play with their money. So far hubby has come close 3 times on the black jack but hasn't won yet. He finds it fun and gets him out of my hair :laugh2:

Yep, still very famous for the resorts. But now also lots of Honeymoon resorts. Big one is Cove Haven with the champagne glass tub :grin2:
