Ivy, welcome to the board and addiction!!

-
I poured into some melts, but haven't tested yet- will melt it tomorrow and let you know!!
-
Welcome and have fun!!
-
Beautiful! thanks for sharing!
-
Just put Pumpkin Souffle (CS) in melts- was really good and long lasting..
-
I second Candle Coccon, Daystar (the best Buttercream Frosting there is!!), MMS and Sweetcakes- all of these have wonderful fo's!! (OK, now you'll have me double checking and adding to my wish lists- thank you for enabling!!
-
Pepper and port from CC would also be good!

Don't want to make things confusing for you, but did you look at Peak's kits? They are a good deal, the container kit includes 4630, 4 fragrances 2 oz each I believe, a pouring pitcher, thermometer, wicks, dye chips and tins- it's what I used to get started and was a good value. You'll still need to find a scale, and also get soy wax as it appears that it what you want to work with.... just a thought....

Sweetcakes is local for me- I get tempted to order a lot- I save on shipping, but still get charged tax (darn MN taxes!! I can only pick up, no opportunity to sniff though which would be wonderful!

I'm getting into this habit also. This weekend I made a bunch of melts (just for me, mainly to test out fragrances)- I really want to try to use up ones that I have, I don't like wasting any. I also test a bunch in lotions, small containers, as I find that the fragrance is very different with some when it's put in lotion rather than on q-tip or OOB. I want to try blending some together also, experimenting with mixers, otherwise I may have to sift through and sell ones that I know I don't like. I have a hard time working with fo's that I don't like- ie I'm probably one of the very few that doesn't like Chocolate Suede from CC- love all of her other fo's! I just can't do the musky scents. A spreadsheet makes so much sense- will have to try that, thanks for sharing that tip!!

Hello, my name is Sarah and it's been two weeks since my last fo order (had to get ewax from MMS, so just HAD to try out more fo's from there to justify the shipping, and had to take advantage of the CS sale of course!). I have bunches of sticky notes lying around with lists of ones I want to try from other places- just have to stay away from those on-line shopping carts! I'm determined to use up the sample bottles that I have- so if I get the urge to order, I go to my fo closet, open a couple, sniff, ahhh, then try to go on with my day.... one day at a time...one day at a time.... one day at a time....

I was just testing Sweet Pumpkin Spice in 4630- almost too sweet to me, not sure what it is, seems it needs more spice. Never thought about mixing with Birthday Cake or Cr Brulee- will maybe have to try!

Would adding chocolate fudge (CS) to the peppermint Bark (CS) cut down on the peppermint? Just got both of these in my order this week, along with a bunch of others- will be pouring/testing this weekend- excited to try some of these new fragrances! (now just have to send my boys out fishing so I can play with my wax and fo's!!

Both are beautiful! I agree that I like the tin a little better, but I don't think you can go wrong with either!

Icecap from SC? They had suggested mixing some citrus fragrances with icecap on their website, may be interesting.... just a thought!
-
Warm Apple Pie- it is really nice in lotion. Love the Birthday Cake in parasoy- nice and strong, didn't like as well in lotion (more of a cake scent, not as much of the frosting). Georgia Peach is also nice in lotion (I've been testing a few in lotions along with wax). So many from Peak are good- I have many more to test!!
-
Has anyone tried any of the fragrances from Enchanged Lights? They are close and I'm wanting to try their soy wax along with some of their fragrances that would throw well in soy and parasoy. (I tried searching, but didn't come up with anything...) TIA! (you guys are the best!!)

CS and Peak's also have great sales on their sample sizes/packs throughout the year (sometimes $.99 each)- so it's good to watch for those, get on their email mailing list (that's how I've gotten SOOOO many of those little bottles in my closet! it gets to be an addiction so watch out! Peak's Birthday Cake is wonderful by the way, and Daystar's Buttercream Frosting- if you like bakery scents. CS's Creme Brulee is also wonderful (I use 4633 in containers). Good luck and welcome to the forum!

The Buttercream Frosting from Daystar is awesome- I've used in 135 and 4633, throws great, smells yummy!
-
papaya coconut- wonderful in lotions!

I've found the same thing, I'm just making for me and friends for now and not selling yet. I like that Candle Cocoon will use the small flat rate box through USPS, and I was able to get quite a few 1 oz'ers in that box. Also, FYI, I noticed that MMS has free shipping on a 7 sample pack of fragrances (you can only order the sample pack with this offer, no other items), but it's a good way to try some new scents with little shipping.
-
Have you tried the 36z yet in that size? I've used the 36z and 44z in 2 oz tins with good luck (I use 4633)
-
I was using the plastic medicine cups, but some of the fo's were eating away the plastic. I use dixie cups now too, but will look for the wax lined, as I sometimes will see the fo get absorbed into the cup, so not sure how much if any I'm losing.

I think sweetcakes has this fragrance also, it's in their natural essential oil blends.
