  1. I'm looking for other suppliers of these foil liners. (About halfway down page) http://www.kycandlewaxsupply.com/packaging.htm They're a little shorter than cupcake liners but the same diameter. I like ordering from KY but would prefer to hold off until I have a bigger wax order again. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
  2. Ok... Got my order and tested a bunch of tarts this week. Made with a blend of 75% KY Tart Votive and 25% KY PB and about 1oz/lb. They haven't cured for long yet but overall I'm impressed.... For the prices, their FO's are some of the best ones I've tried so far. Orange Creamsicle- Average to strong. I blended this with some Cran. muffin FO and got a great spicy scent. Pink Sugar- Not the strongest I've tried but I like it... not overwhelming. Downy Clean Breeze... WHOA. STRONG. I would lighten up on this. Buttercream- Very light Fresh Strawberries- Awesome Vanilla Crunch- Strong vanilla.. great for mixing. Black Rasberry VAnilla- Very strong and true. Thats all for now (been too busy to play much this week!) but I'll keep updating.. I have about 6 more to try. Will def. order again.
  3. Thanks. Sounds worth trying anyway.. now I'm excited to get mine and try them!
  4. Me too a bit but I figure I've lost much more than that on FOs from other places that I've hated. I ordered all samples so I can get a feel for their scents. They have great e-bay feedback however and all my communication has been promptly answered.. so far good CS. We'll see!
  5. I just placed an order for some samples. I'm certainly not an expert but I'll post when I try these out. Becca
  6. Thank you so much... that definitely give me an idea of where to start! I'll post the exact dimensions later.. and I'm on my way to order a sampler pack (didn't realize that they offered these)- will be testing away all week! Thanks again!
  7. I actually did- with awful results (poor melt pool, smoking, etc.). I used wicks from an old candlemaking kit that I had a while ago.. I'm not sure at all what kind it was. So I decided to embrace my "cluelessness" and ask here for suggestions before I wasted tons of money ordering the wrong things. If not... no biggie.. I'll play around with some things- was just looking for any starting point hints that anyone may have. I've mainly focused on tarts in the past so this is all new to me. Thanks.
  8. I'm fairly new to candlemaking and am still learning every day so I'm hoping all the experts on this board can help me out! I'm currently using KY Perfect Blend and need some advice on wicking both container votives and 12 oz canning jars. As I said.. I'm completely clueless so if this is a dumb question.. forgive me!! Thanks in advance for any help you can give! B
  9. Thanks for all the help! I'm sure I'll be back with more questions!
  10. Hi.. I'm brand new to candlemaking and learning as I go so any advice would be great! I'm making tarts right now- and would like to get the foil liners as I'm using a soy blend that's kind of tough to remove from my molds. I can only find them at KY Candle supply... any other places that you know of ? Also.. if I'm planning on selling them at a local craft shop- do you even recommend using the liners or will they sell better with just using the floater mold? (I'm thinking of selling 3 packs) Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks so much! Becca
