  1. I find the M&P drying too..my sister on the other hand loves it:p

We do not use the ultra clear for the rose petals..just the regular stuff. It will not effect the outcome. I do however add just a little soybean oil to my soap.

I use pink. lavender, white and red petals with no need for the ultra clear(which itself has extra detergents to get it ultra :)

    HTH

  2. Does anyone know what we should use to paint on the soap..more specifically I bought the cutest conversation heart soap mold..ya know like the candies that say Love Hug ect..we are doing M&P and want to "paint" the words...hoping someone can lead me in the right direction..wondering if the liquid dye would work with a small brush..or any better ideas??:smiley2:

    TIA

  3. I'm feeling a little grumpy towards gelluminations right now. I placed my order on Nov. 16th, and I got an e-mail today saying my expected delivery date is Nov. 28th. I think 12 days is a little too long, but that's just my opinion... I wanted it to get here quickly! I should have paid extra and got USPS Priority instead of UPS. :sad2:

This order has everything in it. My wicks, gel wax, dyes, containers, and FOs. Now I'm stuck with nothing to do. My other wax (paraffin) came today, but I can't even use it because gelluminations has my wicks. *sniffles* I wanna play with my wax. :cry2:

They are getting slow!! They need to send me my wicks!! I have found that if you pick UPS with them you get it quicker than USPS for some reason. I put in the comments that I needed it asap! Fingers crossed for both of us!

  4. I offer free shipping 2 times a year. The middle of February and the end of October. Minimum purchase $30 for parcel post shipping. This time I got $385 in orders..several didnt even make the minimum but they came and shopped anyway. I mailed out all my orders today and it cost me $34.50 to ship all the boxes.

    Worked for me :)

I have also tried flat rate shipping like the $5 shipping sale..it is like 1/2 price shipping and it worked great too!

  5. What do you have them priced at? What size jar candles do you sell and what are their prices?

At my shows I currently offer the 4oz tins, 8oz tins, 6oz Hex and 16oz Apothecaries.

    My prices are

4oz tins $5(sell like hot cakes..people love $5 for some reason)

    8oz tins $8

    6oz Hex $6 each or 3 for $15(the $5 deal again lol)

    16oz Apothecary $14

My top sellers are the 4oz tins and the 6oz Hex at craft shows.

  6. Well, Propay can be used offline, it isn't tied to a cart. Paypal just started offering that feature - being able to manually enter charges, but it's $20/month from what I read on the fee literature.

    Propay fees 3.5% + .35/trans, Paypal 2.9% + .30/trans

Propay transfer to bank .35, Paypal free.

Propay yearly fee, Paypal has none.

I think the real difference at the moment is that Propay works "offline" for it's regular rates, while Paypal you've got to pay $20/month to be able to enter charges..

I just started using paypal. It is free until Nov 1 then it will be $20 a month. It is super easy to use. I bought the knucklebuster on ebay..I cant wait to accept cc at my shows..we have had lots of people ask the last few years!~

  7. I hate it when the candles are all in a row. UGH

That happened to us twice last year at marion and Topeka apple festival(but it was more like 7 candle booths in a row UGH)

We are doing Marion again, but I mentioned the bad organization..I will probably be in a swamp now lol

  8. The show that rejected me is in Ottawa Kansas...small small town.

We had a successful show there in the past..but now we arent good enough..or was that too good:laugh2:

Good luck in Leavenworth..is that the weekend of Sept 24th? We will be in Topeka and get to meet Becky of BizzyBs :)
