  1. Thank you Carole...I should have known...I'll purchase the 6oz. Any preferred vendor that you know of? I usually order from SKS, Specialty Bottle or C&P. C&P don't carry a 6oz though, so leaning to the other two unless someone knows of a better quality or cheaper tin. Thanks!
  2. I am doing a big promotion for a large company making 1500 candles between now and Dec. I was asked to use 4oz metal tins so I ordered a few to start to make sure that they were acceptable to my client. I ordered them from both SKS and Containers & Packaging, both 4oz with clear lid and solid lid. The client told me today that she thinks they are 2.45oz not 4oz and gave me an old metal tin from some ancient candle she had and asked me to match it. After researching I am pretty sure it is a 6oz tin and while not that much more in dollars or wax (it all adds up), I gave her a price on 4oz and she paid me a 50% deposit and now it looks like I need to make 6oz candles. Can someone explain to me if it is standard for a 4oz tin to hold less than 2.5 ounces of wax and a 6oz tin to hold approximately 4 ounces? This is the first time that I am using the tins and I do think they are smaller than I thought they would be , but now I want to be sure that I am getting my money's worth. Also if there is a preferred vendor for this amount of containers that would be better than the two mentioned above that can deliver within a weeks time, I'd appreciate that info too. Thanks for any advice! Karen
