  1. My candles are looking great. Cold throw is awesome. Hot throw is awesome. I just dont want to sell a candle that dosent burn right.
  2. Finally got a great parasoy blend going. But having troble getting a FMP with one wick. I can get it with double wicking. Doing a 464 / 4630 parasoy in 12 oz wisper jars. I have used many different ECO and HTP wicks. The htps dont burn as good as eco's. Double eco 6 or 4 work the best. Eco 16 single almost dose it. Any sugestions. Going to use 8 oz madisons in future both jars have 3 inch diameter and would like to have both jars in my line. Also can left over wax from a pour be used for tarts???
  3. Cool idea. I was using cardboard. I'll have to check them out.
  4. Thanks. Thats why I went to a mix because of the frosting with 464 straight. started at 80/20 464/4630 then 70/30 now at 50/50 i really like it. H/T is very good but I want it to be great.
  5. Currently doing a 50 / 50 blend 464 & 4630. Im getting good results using ECO wicks but is there some other wicks I could be using ????? Making containers.
  6. It really is shocking as We are learning it is not just melt and pour. Its 2lbs of wax for 4 8oz candles. After ebay listing fee and pay pal fee profit is maybe a buck????
  7. Im still new at this and im not ready for selling yet. But this is disturbing to me. I found this on ebay. 4 8oz candles for 8.99 . How can someone sell for so low. http://cgi.ebay.com/SOY-CANDLES-8-OZ-LOT-4-OVER-150-SCENTS-/250447982834?pt=Candles&hash=item3a4fdcf0f2
  8. Went on your site . You have some real nice stuff.
  9. Thanks Soy, I was heating to 185, add FO at 175 pour 150. Still need a HT test CT is pretty good.
  10. Being new at this I do love 464 throw. It filled the entire house. Just couldnt get a pour temp that wouldnt frost.
  11. I was doing straight 464 and having major frosting issues. H T was excellent. Im using C3 and Excel ADV. mixed 75 /25 . So far nearly no frosting issues. Still curing them but C t was pretty good before I put the lids on them. I may be going to 464 / excel blend if these dont throw.
  12. Soy327 do you get a good HT with the 50/50 mix??? I would assume that the advance mixed in eliminates frosting issues with 464?? Bobby
  13. Its been asked before and Ive spent hours on here looking at old threads can I get your opinions now. only 4 weeks into candle making.
  14. Thanks candybee. I just looked at that forum and wow lots of imformation thank you.
  15. We Made over 30 container candles with GB464. Got frosting at all different pour temps. Only a few came out good. Gonna try Ecosoya advanced.
  16. Thanks, thats my main issue is frosting. So Ive been experimenting with the different pouring temps. I am taking everyones tips.
  17. Thanks for the help. Just trying to get the hang of it.
  18. If your pouring multiple jars lets use 4. By the time you get to pour jar 3 and 4 the wax temp could drop ten or more degrees from your pour temp. Im going from one to the other without stoping but before i get to the third one should I reheat it to return to my pour temp??? Im assuming as the wax pours out the pouring pot and back down as you go from one to the other thats when the greatest heat lose occurs. Using soy wax GB464.
  19. Thanks thats what Ive been doing to just checking new to candle making
  20. How soon before you can put the lid on container candles using soy wax??
