I agree with above posters. Sounds masculine and confusing. Maybe create a signature scent and make that you signature scent name of create a collection of things and name the collection Valiant August collection so you can still keep the name somewhere within your business.

I remembered it. Zahoomi. Thanks!

I suppose ebay is one. I thought I bookmarked them. One started with a Z. Help!

jack, did you do a video when you made the kitchen soap with the pumice and coffee grounds? Did you have to do the layer thing like the oatmeal in order to get the pumice and grains evenly distributed?

I think in your heart of hearts, you knew you would sell the business. I'm asking this questions not expecting an answer but if you bought a house, you knew when you bought it that it would no way hold your candle making business. That's a lot of equipment to need room for. If keeping the business was a priority, you probably would have chosen a different house. Very best wishes selling the business! Selling a home based business is about the market value of used equipment/assets, the profit value of the contracts/wholesale account and expected first year total profit. The value of your "formulas" and supplier list will be hard to assess with a value unless it is highly unique.

Check Ingredients To Die For... some of those ingredients came up in my search...
Great site, never knew about that one.

Brilliant! Thanks for sharing the link, Laura!

I have a facial polishing cleanser product I bought from a home based etailer and I would like to use the same base she did to create a foot scrub type product. I have no doubt this person used a base and tweaked from there. I would like to find this base but since I have no way of knowing what she added and what was the base, I can't get an 'answer' from google. Maybe some of you will recognize it in some way. I'm pretty sure she added the shea butter and extracts and crystals.
distilled water, shea butter, ammonium cocoyl isethionate, cocamidopropyl betaine, aluminum oxide crystals, emulsifying wax, caprylic/capric triglycerides, sorbitol, cetyl esters, cetyl alcohol, ginko biloba leaf extract, olive leaf extract, roobios tea extract, white tea extract, green tea extract, diazolidinyl urea, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate

Or is there a big difference. I know FCO absorbs very quickly and CO tends to stick around for a while on the skin. Does that mean the CO is more moisturizing or just more oily?

Those are too stinkin' cute! Thank you so much for sharing. I'm very new to this, wish I could offer advice.

Candybee - you have to do this! I'm new around here but already know you are IT when it comes to MP. Plus you are so kind and giving, a natural teacher.

I'm pretty sure that Essential Oils combined should not be over 3% of your solution. I think the key will be the Carrier Oils. Many have excellent anti-aging benefits.

I went over and took a look and it's a very nice thing this page does. They call it Sunday Show and Share.

I'm just venturing back into room sprays. I made up some earlier today using 91% alcohol & southern style vanilla fo in a 4 ounce bottle I used about 1 ounce of FO because I want it strong. I'm very impressed & pleased. It's crystal clear, no shaking the fo mixed well in the alcohol. I just sprizted a couple of sprays & it smells awesome. I'm going to continue using this method to make sure it mixes as well with other FO's. If this works out it cost me about 1.00 for a 16 ounce bottle alot cheaper than buying bases & paying shipping. IMHO
Did you use 1 ounce FO in 16 oz of alcohol?

Very helpful. Thanks! Looks like Mica is preferred over oxides, too.

Sorry, I thought you mean am I adding beeswax. The base I use has beeswax in it but I have not added any extra.
-
No, I'm not using any beeswax.
-
Grrrr. Added castor oil, 2.5 ml (1/2 teaspoon) to 60 ml (2 oz) of base. Shine is better but now it feels greasy, like Vaseline. Add beeswax?

I've been over at TBK trading dozens of times looking at colorants for MP soap. Can someone help me with about how much colorant I need for a 1 lb of base? I know this will vary by how deep I want my colors but I have no clue on mica, oxides or the glycerine based liquids. A teaspoon of liquid for 1 lb? Would that be the equivalent of 1/8 teaspoon in a mica or oxide? Any guidance is appreciated.

I don't want a lip gloss, want to be able to use it in a twist up lip balm tube. Is there a butter or oil that will give it more of a glossy look or some other ingredient?

Such fun! I couldn't get my lavender buds or cranberry seeds to "suspend" in my first ever batch of MP soap. Wishing you tons of success that your clay suspends and then you can teach me!!!!!
-
What fun! I felt like I was spying on someone on Christmas morning. Are you using the clay powders in MP soap?

The number needs to be a 5 or the packaging needs to say polypropelene.

When you use olive oil, do you smell the olive oil notes once it is heated in the warmer? To me, olive oil has a very distinct scent.
